Thornton Agricultural Finance Institute in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at Texas Tech University.
Received B.S. in Agricultural Economics at Texas Tech University, M.S. in Agricultural Economics at Texas Tech University and Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech University. Current teaching activities include
Agribusiness Finance, Agricultural Financial Analysis, and Property Appraisal. Current research projects include Standardized
Performance Analysis (SPA) for crop production, regional economic
impacts of changes in irrigation from a declining Ogalalla aquifer,
and the economics of brush control. Dr. Johnson is serving on the
board of directors of the Texas Agricultural Cooperative Council and is
currently vice-chairman of the Education and Member Services Committee.
Dr. Johnson is also coordinator of the annual Bankers Agricultural
Credit Conference.
